Description
The data in this checklist represents an update to the Bryophyta flora of Luxembourg in 2008, it was extracted from the publication: Werner, J., 2008. Liste rouge des bryophytes du Luxembourg : une première mise à jour (2003-2008). Bulletin de la Société des naturalistes luxembourgeois 109 : 53-58. https://www.nowellia.be/download/docs/1.8%20Liste%20rouge%20bryophytes%20GD%20Luxembourg.pdf Abstract: The Red List of bryophytes of Luxembourg (Werner, J. 2003. Liste rouge des bryophytes du Luxembourg Mesures de conservation et perspectives. Ferrantia 35. https://ps.mnhn.lu/ferrantia/publications/Ferrantia35.pdf) is updated to March 1st 2008, in order to take into account the progress in floristic research, as well as the evolution of environmental stress. 40 out of 599 recognized taxa are evaluated or reevaluated and commented on. Some seemingly extinct species were observed again, among which Brachythecium laetum, observed in nearby Germany. Pellia neesiana and Sciuro-hypnum reflexum are new to the bryophyte flora of the country. On the whole a slight worsening has to be reported, which may only be explained to some extent by the discovery of rare or probably threatened species.
Data Records
The data in this checklist resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 43 records.
2 extension data tables also exist. An extension record supplies extra information about a core record. The number of records in each extension data table is illustrated below.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versions
The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.
