The checklist here presents the results of the publication: * Gerecke R., Martin P., Walzberg C. & Walisch T. 2021. - Verbreitungsatlas der Wassermilben des Großherzogtums Luxemburg. Ferrantia 85, Musée national d'histoire naturelle, Luxembourg, 175 p. (https://ps.mnhn.lu/ferrantia/publications/Ferrantia85.pdf) which recollects all published data concerning the presence of water mites (Acari: Hydrachnidia and Halacaridae) along with an extended set of new records derived from projects of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and the Musée national d'histoire naturelle Luxembourg (MNHNL). A total of 209 species (4 Halacaridae, 205 Hydrachnidia) were recorded from Luxembourg.
