Description

Dataset comprising specimen data of jumping plant lice (Psylloidea) found in Luxembourg. The dataset is a result of two larger collection campaigns: In 1999/2000 by Evelyne Carrières and in 2019/2020 by Carmelo Rapisarda and Michael Eickermann. The data presented here are also part of the general specimen records of the National Museum of Natural History Luxembourg (https://www.gbif.org/publisher/75642970-f855-11dd-8235-b8a03c50a862), and as such, will be uploaded as duplicated records in the course of the synchronization of the regular dataset (https://www.gbif.org/dataset/962f59bc-f762-11e1-a439-00145eb45e9a).

Sampling Methods

The 1999/2020 material was collected by yellow Moericke traps and Malaise traps. The 2019/2020 material was collected by hand netting.

Study Extent The study comprises two larger collection campaigns: in 1999/2000 by Evelyne Carrières and in 2019/2020 by Carmelo Rapisarda and Michael Eickermann in the country of Luxembourg.

Method step description:

  1. Specimens from collection campaigns in 1999/2000 and 2019/2020 were determined by Carmelo Rapisarda and preserved as wet alcohol specimens or as microscopic slide specimens and are integrated into the invertebrate collection at the MnhnL.
