The data in this checklist represents the Amphibia fauna of Luxembourg, it was extracted from the publication: * Arendt A., R. Gerend, C. Junck, F. Schoos, R. Proess, G. Schmidt 2003. Verbreitungsatlas der Amphibien des Großherzogtums Luxemburg. Ferrantia 37. https://ps.mnhn.lu/ferrantia/publications/Ferrantia75.pdf Abstract: The anuran and urodele fauna of Luxembourg comprises 13 taxa. We present their distribution on 5 x 5 km quadrates and discuss in detail their population status and their ecological requirements in Luxembourg. Additionally, we give recommendations regarding conservation in practice, i.e., the preservation of habitats that are crucial to the survival of some threatened species as well as the creation of new suitable habitats.
